PS4 Share Play To Revolutionize Gaming Experience

Masamune codename for PlayStation 4's software update v2.00 is set for release this upcoming Tuesday October 28th and we can't wait to test out the latest feature Share Play. In preparation for the update. PlayStation has put together a quick video guide showcasing how this cutting edge function works.

Share Play allows you to share your gaming experience with friends via a virtual network. Using the power of the PS4, you will be able to create an online local co-op experience by enabling your friends to join your gameplay for up to 1 hour at a time, even if your friends don't own the actual game themselves.

Instead of just spectating on Twitch or Ustream. Your friends will be able to grab a control pad and join the fun for a quick match of Football, Soccer, racing or anything else that catches your fancy.

With Share Play you will be able to Share screens with a friend, this is great for those who just want to watch a game and get an idea of how it looks and plays.

Hand over my Dualshock 4 controller - lets your friend control your character virtually without having a copy of the game on their PlayStation 4 system.  (Note - Game host must be a PS Plus member but guest does not need PlayStation Plus membership for this feature to work.)

Hand over the second Dualshock 4 controller lets your friends join you in a game that supports multiplayer functionality. PlayStation 4 guest member does not need to have a copy of the game but both players must be PS plus members for this two player feature to work.
