PS4 GAMES - ALL THE TITLES ANNOUNCED UP TO DATE WITH HD VIDEO TRAILERS - PART 1

Literally each game

Updated with new info on 5th July 2013.
By Maya Mayfield

At its "Future of PlayStation" news conference, Sony unveiled  the PlayStation 4, that is slated for a holiday 2013 release--but what’s a brand new console with no games? luckily, there are a heap of games confirmed for the PS4, which provide a mixture of sequels to storied franchises and creative, new IPs.

To keep track of of these announcements, we’ve put together a detailed list of all the PS4 games that are presently on the table. Browse on to determine which one you’re most excited for. So without further delay let us begin with:

1. Knack (Sony)

The first PS4 game we ever set eyes on is an all-ages journey, telling the story of a loveable construct created to safeguard humans from the goblin armies. The visuals have a captivating, Pixar-like design to them, and the mechanics appear quite intriguing: From the design of things, knack is going to be able to alter his shape to solve puzzles (by going invisible) or combat larger enemies (by increasing his polygonal mass to bulk up for a fight). We’re undoubtedly curious to search out out more regarding this smashing platformer once it comes to the PS4, until then we'll just have to make do with our E3 hands-on experience.

Release date: Launch day

2. Killzone: Shadow Fall (Guerrilla Games)

Prepare to stab a lot of Helghast goons in the neck. The fourth main Killzonegame in the long-running series was simply the best-looking of all the games shown so far, with expansive futurist cityscapes and dazzling explosions. it's like you’ll be up against insanely unfair odds, because the Helghast have cloaking technology to infiltrate your ranks. Then again, you do have the courage to hang from a chopper and nail enemy troopers in the head. Perhaps the chances are even in spite of everything.

Release date: Launch day

3. Battlefield 4 (DICE)

What do we know about battlefield 4? Well, we all know that is it's planning to keep on with the modern setting, we all know that it's about to have a multiplayer beta, and we understand that EA is coming up with a late 2013 game due date. It's going to hit the PS4, with thirty two players to a map stuffed with destroyable environments, and has at least one game-changing building (you recognize the one). Considering how outstanding battlefield 3's frostbite two Engine looked on current-gen technology, it's no surprise that DICE is taking advantage of the advanced hardware to make some stunning battles. On top of expected polish, the return of Commander mode, a more promising single player campaign, and lots more is reason enough to dive back to the well-loved shooter.

Release date: 2014

4. Driveclub (Evolution Studios)

Car fans are used to sinking their teeth into scant Gran Turismo details--but Evolution Studios is here to buck that trend. After impressing car racing fans with the MotorStorm series, they’ve taken things to a brand new level of detail with their new car racing game Driveclub. We’re talking full-on first-person views rather than typical cockpit views, and gorgeous attention to accurate renderings of every licenced vehicle. It’s basically speaking car pornography, and its targeted audience will eat it right up.

Release date: Launch day

5. Assassin's Creed IV: Black flag (Ubisoft)

Ubisoft's next Assassin's Creed game was a next-gen game--surprise!  Assassin's creed 4 Black flag moves the series into the ocean full of pirates, with a naval- centred game that'll have captain Edward Kenway sailing the high-seas and fighting against Knight Templar and pirate alike. we do not know much about the next-gen version (besides that it will be prettier), but you can find more information regarding the game in general in everything we know about Assassin's Creed IV.

Release date:  TBD

6. Infamous: Second Son (Sucker Punch Studios)

Sucker Punch's Infamous: Second Son was far and away one of the biggest eye-brow raisers throughout Sony's PS4 conference, portraying a world controlled through camera surveillance. D.U.P.,  an oppressive power claiming that mankind's safety is its foremost concern, has made some obvious enemies in the shape of Conduits--which, as you will recall, are people imbued with superpowers. The new protagonist is not too keen with the loss of freedom the human race has endured, and he takes the fight to the D.U.P. troops with some amazing powers. We certainly can't wait to check what else he has up his sleeves, and we're excited for the darker, grittier story that Second Son may tell.

Release date: TBA

7. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (CD Projekt RED)

When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was announced, CD Projekt RED claimed that the RPG would be out in 2014 on all high-end game platforms--and as soon as the PlayStation 4 was declared, the developer wasted no time confirming that it'd be one amongst them. Witcher 3 will embody an enormous, free-roaming environment and a non-linear story which will open a brand new chapter within the franchise, inviting  in new players and previous fans. We’ve cherished The Witcher games in the past, and are excited to know what Geralt’s next-generation journeys will be like.

Release date: 2014

8. The Witness (Jonathan Blow)

Headed by Jonathan Blow of Braid fame, The Witness appears to be a far cry from the cerebral platformer--though it’s still most definitely a puzzle game. With a first-person perspective on a colourful world, you’ll explore a serene landscape between puzzle-solving in a very Myst-like world. With a wide option of peaceful environments, The Witness looks more involved with perpetually showing you new things rather than confusing you with impossible conundrums.

Release date: 2013

9.The Order: 1886 (Ready At Dawn Studios)

From Sony Santa Monica, The Order: 1886 looks to take a number of completely different influences and make them work inside one, distinctive setting. Nineteenth century London, steam charge weapons in the game environment, and werewolves (yes, werewolves), all come together in a very strange mixture of previous and new, familiar and supernatural. More info will probably come to light when we see more than just the impressive trailer.

Release date: TBA

10. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Just because it had been shown off at Microsoft's news conference doesn't mean that Metal Gear Solid V is not coming to its original home console. The Phantom Pain as most has dubbed, takes place in an open world version of Middle East after big Boss (who, by the way, is voiced by Kiefer Sutherland) wakes up from a 9 year coma. Whereas the E3 demo might have looked a lot more like Red Dead Redemption than Metal Gear, the heavy focus on stealth makes a very clear and noticeable return.

Release date: TBA

11. Deep Down (Capcom)

Capcom’s new title evokes Dragon’s Dogma, however this game has been designed in a completely new engine. Using the new technology code-named Panta Rhei, Capcom has developed a fantasy dungeon crawler with some really spectacular visuals. It’s still unclear how the action is going to play out, and whether or not the game is played from a third-person perspective, but we won't argue with the spectacular particle effects. You won’t have a choice but to admire these effects when you see a dragon breathing fire flames directly into your face.

Release date: TBA

12. Secret Ponchos (Switchblade Monkeys)

Out of obscurity comes Secret Ponchos, a game that, despite its title, seems to possess nothing to try and do with hidden rainwear. Instead, this PS4 exclusive feels like a mix of plenty of genres we tend to love: isometric kill-'em-alls like Diablo, the previous West shootouts of Red Dead, and also the frantic multiplayer action of Bomberman. you will be able to blast varmints in one-on-one duels, team deathmatch, or chaotic, fighting hootenannies. We're also looking into the game's art style, which appears somewhere between a Western style comic magazine and an Eastern anime.

Release date: Early 2014

13. Watch Dogs (Ubisoft)

Ubisoft’s open-world, technology-based heroic tale has been confirmed as a PS4 launch title, and it's as intriguing as ever. You’ll take to dirty town streets with the web as your only great power, hacking into phones and all manner of gizmo to control folks as you see fit. Each time we see Watch Dogs, we want to understand a bit more regarding its urban, dystopian world of compromised digital networks.

Release date: November 19 (current-gen)

14. Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix)

It looks like one game will be deleted from the PS4 games list, and another included. During its E3 news conference, square Enix finally confirmed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is no longer in development; in its place is Final Fantasy fifteen. The game, that was introduced by director Tetsuya Nomura, features a good amount of climbing buildings in pursuit of a rare crystal. Surprise, surprise--an angsty young man is bent on saving the planet.

Release date: TBA

15. Kingdom Hearts 3 (Square Enix)

We all knew it's coming; it was the timing that confused us. At Sony's E3 2013 news conference, Square Enix confirmed the existence of not just Final Fantasy XV, but the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3. Square gave us little to go with apart from its existence, but they did show protagonist Sora once more picking up the keyblade, and fighting a swarm of Heartless.

Release date: TBA

16. Mad Max (Avalanche Studios)

Is Mel Gibson getting ready to become relevant again? perhaps, maybe not, but his jailbreak Mad max actually is. At its E3 news conference, Sony confirmed that just Cause developer Avalanche Studios is at work on Mad max. Perhaps best represented as Fallout meets Rage, Mad max is set in a post-apocalyptic wastleland, where men live and die by the bullets in their gun and the octane of their engine.

Release date: TBA

17. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm reborn

The second Final Fantasy MMO in the storied franchise had a little bit of a rough start, launching in a very fairly buggy state that players were none too happy with. However everybody deserves a second chance--and this is an entire overhaul, to the point that it might be thought to be an entire new game. We know FF XIV will be returning to PS3 and PC on August 27th, however Square-Enix has also hinted a 2014 release for the PS4. It’s hard consolidating the complexities of an MMO to a controller, but the PS3 version manages it, therefore it ought to be fine with a dual Shock four. If Realm reborn offers a similar open-world experience with higher-res visuals and sleek on-line play, FF and MMO fans may lose weeks to the game.

Release date: 2014

18. Diablo III (Blizzard Entertainment)

It had been speculated since Blizzard initially showed off their latest hack-‘n’-slash dungeon crawler. At E3 it became official: One of the most successful action RPGs is going to be making the jump to both the PS3 and PS4. We’re not really sure if that will include the auction house system or cross-generation play, however having poured hours into Diablo III, we’re sure that PC-shy console gamers are in for a demon-slaying treat.

Release date: TBA

19. Outlast (Red Barrels)

Maybe it's our most primal instincts, perhaps it's how we've been trained by horror movies--for whatever reason, few things are more alarming than being pursued by something more powerful than yourself. Outlast takes the lump of that deeply established  concern and makes a game out of it, dropping you into an asylum full of homicidal inmates. These lunatics are not monsters--they're simply insane humans who can shred you to little pieces without a thought. Outlast is being touted as the next Amnesia--an indie horror game that effectively redefined the genre once it began to gain a name for excellent scares.

Release date: 2013

20. Destiny (Bungie)

We’ve gotten a taste of Bungie’s formidable new project at this year's E3, and what we’ve seen appears superb. Emulating Halo's combat with a an awesome twist, this looks to be a first-person space game that focuses on co-operative, drop-in and drop-out multiplayer. However, player customization, distinctive categories and a dynamic approach to storytelling proves that Bungie's finally able to do something new. What we have seen so far, looks fantastic, making the next-gen wait seem much longer.

Release date: TBA

21. Media Molecule's next game

Though this appears to be more of a concept toy than an actual video game, Media Molecule showed off an incredibly creative technology demo that utilised the dualshock4 controller. This technology allows users to sculpt a virtual mass of clay with the Move controller, which others may then contribute to or reshape entirely. Next up, they showed a puppet style play...thing, where players helped miniature characters play music by twirling the Move. Hey, it may be cool.
