New PS4 Game Helldivers Coming to PS3, PS Vita, PS4, in 2014

Arrowhead Studios creators of Magicka have teamed up with Sony Computer Entertainment and Foster City Studios to bring you their brand new title Helldivers coming soon to Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, and Playstation 4 in 2014.
Helldivers is a single-player action shooter, with up to four player co-op missions. The game will be viewed from a top-down angle, reminiscent of old school classic shooters. Helldivers on the PS4 is set on a dystopian future where the human race is now governed by a controlled democracy.

As part of an elite unit called the Helldivers, your mission, if you choose to accept, will be to battle hoards of enemies by utilising powerful weaponries to defeat the evil foes of mankind. Working as a team will be vital, if you intend to survive, whether placing weapons, or calling in air strikes, your actions must be in sync to fulfil your objectives.

Arrowhead games are known to feature friendly fire play, and Helldivers is no exception to that rule, so be very careful when placing explosives, or you will lose the game as well as team mates along the way.
Helldivers will be cross-play and Cross-Save compatible between the Playstation 3, Playstation Vita and Playstation 4. This will definitely inspire the co-op style of the game.  For example if you were playing locally with a friend, then two
players could be on a PS4, while another two players could join via the PS Vitas, in the same room.

Arrowhead did not go much into the campaign mode of the game, but did mention that the co-operative game will rely heavily on the Helldivers community, where you will fight together to save mankind. The actions you take will affect the consequences of the campaign,  making every victory  count towards unlocking new contents.

Helldivers will be available in 2014. Stay tuned as we continue to cover all the brand new games, making its way to the PS4 coming out on the 15th of November in North America, and 29th of November in Europe.
