Strider Hands-on: Do You Remember Your Ninja Training?

In the midst of a raging snow storm and airships. Strider Hiyru the flying dragon dashes across the screen, hacking and slashing down anyone that stands in his way. Strider Hiryu is back.  Capcom's most loved Ninja hero in the 80's arcade smash  hit is coming to the PS3 and PS4 early 2014. The new Strider enhances all the great features gamers loved about the classic strider.  Capcom promises a fast paced, button basher displayed on incredible HD visuals.

This new Strider introduces gamers to a terribly oppressed world in the future. The human race are oppressed, suffering at the hands of the tyrant know as Grand Master Meio, ruler of the planet. Players must control our hero Strider Hiryu, using the indestructible Cypher weapon, to destroy Grand Master Meio and restore balance and order back to Earth global government. Hiryu is an exceptionally talented recruit, his skills and ability puts him above his peers in the Strider Program. He is chosen to fulfil a mission most believe he won't survive.

Strider retains its 80's appeal by keeping the action in side scrolling mode, similar to other role-playing-games like Castlevania Symphony of the Night. You must complete your mission by defeating enemies, destroying bosses, and finding secret powers ups to increase Hiryu's strength and ability.

The fast paced gameplay in Strider will keep players entertained for hours, as they jump, dash and swing the Cypher to annihilate attacking enemies.
Gamers will feel a sense of satisfaction racking up points on the combo meter, as they pull of devastating combinations. When the meter hits full, Hiryu will go into a state of rage, similar to what most Dragon Z fans call Super saiyan mode, unleashing even more earth shattering attacks on all who stands in his way.

Hiryu's ability continues to grow as you advance through the games levels, including a reflect skill with the Cypher, which acts as a counter attack against enemy fire and a sliding dash takedown.  There are also super cool upgrades to unlock on the Cypher including an explosive charge, setting nearby enemies ablaze.

Gamers will have their work cut out for them, when it comes to the amazing boss fights in Strider. One example of this is having to climb up a mechanical serpent, as it flies through the air in a snow storm. Gamers must avoid pulses of electricity and homing missiles as they dispatch of the metallic beast.

Strider is set for release early next year on PS3 and PS4 on Playstation Store. Capcom promises the game will be a full 1080p and 60 frames per second on the Playstation 4.
