Zombie Studios Daylight on Playstation 4: The Power of the Unknown

Zombie Studios are trying something new on the horror gaming genre. In their brand new title daylight. You awaken in a nightmarish hospital long abandoned by those with enough sense left to have escaped with their lives. Armed with only the light from your mobile phone to guide you through the darkness. Unlike other games in the horror genre. Daylight changes with every new play.
In an interview with blog.us.playstation.com Zombie studios creative director Andre Maguire, tells us why procedurally generated scares is the new standard in horror genre games and how it was to develop for the PS4.

Capcom's upcoming game Deep Down, exclusive to Playstation 4 also uses procedurally generated spawns as a way to keep gamers on their toes when crawling through the dungeons and dragons style environment. We think the idea is brilliant as it keeps you from knowing exactly when a monster might appear, unlike games that become predictable after a few trial and error in preset play.
