RESOGUN PS4: The Worlds of RESOGUN

Inside the Explosions of Resogun on Playstation 4

By Mont Brown
November 10th 2013

Mikael Haveri at Playstation has revealed some brand new footage and development insights from Housemarque's Resogun the incredible new action shoot-em up set for launch alongside PS4 in 5 days time.

In the video below we see the team behind Resogun explaining the amount of pain staking hours and details it has taken them to create hundreds and millions of 3D bricks/Cubes known as voxels. Although voxels are not an original concept within the game development world, it is very difficult and time consuming to build the kind of complex structures we see in Resogun with them.

Below are a few images the team at Housemarque also presented to give you an example of what they created.

The full polished version of Resogun is far more intricate than what you see here, but the images are a great way to show that the entire world of Resogun is a huge pile of bricks, designed to blow up anytime, "and when things blow, they blow up big," says Haveri.

The second video we see is the gorgeous looking concept paintings that were designed for each game worlds. It also captures the first world in Resogun exploding, as well as a brief intro of the animation we will all get to experience on 15th November.

We can't wait to give Resogun a full run through and share our feedback next week after Playstation 4's launch day. Housemarque promise more news will soon follow, but for now you can visit  them on their Facebook page by clicking Here.
