The brand new Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is out, and we are having a blast playing it all over again on the PS4, but there are a few significant differences we began to notice from the PS3, to PS4 version, that goes beyond the new improved 1080p, 60 FPS visuals.

Spoiler Alert!
We suggest if you haven't played Tomb Raider, then look away now, although we have tried our very very best not to completely spoil it for you.
It appears that a few scenes in Tomb Raider Definitive have been censored or toned down since its previously release. One scene in particular is where Lara finds herself immersed in a pool of blood on the PS3, which is no longer on the PS4. What is even more interesting about this is that there are still a ton of corpses, with missing limbs and Lara is still as dangerous as ever punishing her enemies with crushing stealth kills.

The lack of blood, doesn't take away from the overall gameplay however, but we did wander why this was toned down, considering that Tomb Raider: Definitive is an 18+ title. Maybe the decision to not show so much bloody images was made during the games PS3 to PS4 port, or during the overall technical visual improvements of Lara Croft.

Either way the game is still amazing, despite the lack of blood effects on this new definite edition.
You can order Tomb Raider Definitive Edition on the PS4 now.
