Konami has taken the decision to cut the price of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes before its officially release date in Europe. The game which was originally priced at £39.99 pounds for the physical PS4 and Xbox One copies and £29.99 for the digital download. Will now be reduced to £29.99.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 price points are still the same at £29.99 for the physical version and £19.99 for the digital download.

In a statement provided to Eurogamer, Konami said "with this new pricing point for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Konami aims to give as many people as possible the chance to experience Hideo Kojima's new Fox Engine in the first of a two part installment of the Metal Gear Solid 5  saga."

This new price point comes in direct response to concerns about the length of Ground Zeroes, whose single player campaign can be completed in about 2 hours, providing other objectives outside the campaigns main story is neglected.
