forma.8 Coming to Playstation 4 and PS Vita

Mauro Fanelli Cofounder at MixedBag has just told us their latest project, forma.8 will be making its way unto the PS4 and PS Vita. forma.8 is an action packed adventure game, inspired by the classic Metrodvania concept. MixedBag the Italian development studio begun working on forma.8 over two years ago, focusing their efforts on an experimental control system based around touch devices. Since then the project has evolved into a huge adventure and we are super keen to discover more.
According to Mauro, forma.8 is set in the not so distant future where an exploration probe is left stranded on the surface of an alien planet. Since its departure the exploration probe had by chance ended up splitting from its companions, and it alone must now complete a mission of life or death if it is to succeed.
The Probe must first find and recover new power sources located deep within the surface of the Alien planet before time runs out. There Mauro tells us there is an ancient civilization, and incredible obstacles players must overcome.
The game starts you off in a lifeless floating station, with no power, no weapons and no clue of what to do or where to go. forma.8's control design was developed with the idea of giving players a sense of what it really feels like to be flying in space. It is entirely up to the players to figure things out as they explore the planet, often dealing with the unfriendly inhabitants.
