Sony Japan Studio has unveiled its new action RPG titled Bloodborne at E3. Set to launch early 2015, BloodBorne will be one of the first of many  titles developed only for PlayStation 4.  Bloodborne is a joint collaboration venture between FromSoftware and produced by SCE Japan Studio. The game will take players through a dark terrorizing gothic world full of nightmarish creatures and deranged fiends.

Bloodborne begins in an ancient, forgotten city called Yharnam, known for an old medical healing remedy. Over the years, many having journeyed from across the world bringing their afflictions to Yharnam in search of help. You take on the role of one of these travelers and on your arrival to Yharnam you come to discover that the city is also cursed with a horrible endemic illness. Navigating through the perilous city streets, you must face your darkest fears as you battle creatures of the night to find out the secrets and mysteries lurking behind this strange horrifying world, where danger, death and madness can appear around every corner.

Bloodborne's combat mechanics is based on intense life-threatning fights and one of the ways SCE Japan and FromSoftware intends on bringing that sense of realism to life is by keeping the deep tactical elements from Demon's Soul, while transitioning from the passive attack and block style of Demon's Soul to a much faster fluid offensive and counterattacks style of combat with close-range guns, swords and small blades.

In addition, the PlayStation 4 console has also allowed the development studio to expand on its  draw distance, so players can view more of the world at any one time. Bloodborne will also feature cutting edge lighting effects for more atmosphere and tension, creating a far more immersive yet frightening experience during boss battles.
