Battlefield 4 is not Supporting Cross-Gen Saves

No Cross-Gen Feature Support on Battlefield 4

Disappointing news for current-gen gamers today as we discover that Battlefield 4, the upcoming first person shooter will not feature cross-gen saves. Battlefield 4  will be released on both the PS3 and PS4, but gamers from both old and new generations won't be able to import their multiplayer progress or play each other  in online multiplayer modes.
The Games developers DICE, said this was how it was with Battlefield 3, where multiplayer progress is limited to a single platform.

This news is a little surprising, because other developers like EA is including cross-gen features in a few of their titles like FIFA 14, allowing gamers to transfer their teams progress between old and new versions.
Battlefield 4 will be out this November on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on the 1st of November. The PS4 and Xbox One Version will be out later that month.

What's your thoughts on this? Does this make you want to wait and get Battlefield 4 on the PS4 instead of the PS3?
