Rumour has it an unamed developer, according to Polygon has said that Sony have been awarding their Playstation 4 dev kits worth $2,500 on one year loans, at no charge.

The unamed source said, "All the independent game developers he knows have got the dev kits for Free." While another anonymous source went further by saying how great Sony has been towards supporting indie development so far.

“Sony are giving them away  like candy"  mentioned another.

Sony has confirmed they are loaning dev kits, highlighting their historical support of self-publishers. "Dev kits are not usually needed until a project is a stage of maturity, so most independent developers won't need them right now."

This is very inspiring news for future game creators out there looking to be apart of this industry.
