In a recent Q&A video by Playstation Access, one of the questions asked was if the PS4 will have party chat.

Before we continue, we have to take a moment to remember there are some people out there who have never even heard of party chat. So I will begin by telling you that party chat is a social feature that will allow gamers to talk to friends, regardless of what games you or them may be playing at that moment.  One of the cool features included in the PS4, is the ability to instantly switch between games saved and stored on the systems hard drive. This will allow you to join friends, who may need an extra hand during a difficult mission in say Battlefield 4 for example.

Now we have cleared that up we can reveal that the PS4 will indeed have party chat, along with several other amazing features. Sony have also increased the friend list capacity to an incredible 2000 people, twice the size of the Xbox One. Now we don't know how you could keep up with so many friends, but I am sure the more social gamers amongst you will have no problem with that. You will not be needing a PS plus subscription to join party chat, along with other features like the free to play games and Netflix on the brand new playstation 4.
