Publisher Deep Silver have confirmed the Metro series will be coming to Next-gen consoles and we should expect more news at E3 2014. The revelation came amidst rumors of a Metro Redbux appearing on Everyeye website. The story has since been pulled but prior to that had mentioned Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC will be getting a remastered version of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light along with a bunch of downloadable contents in a collection they are calling Metro Redux.

Deep Silver wrote in their post, "We never hid the intentions of developers A4 Games wanting to bring Metro to the latest generation systems and A4 Games intend on revealing this re-mastering version at this years E3 event in June 2014."

Along with the post Deep Silver also mentioned the leaked information was from an old internal presentation containing a few pockets of truth, but mostly hypothetical ideas and temporary place holder documents.

Deep Silver did assure fans of the Metro series that although A4 Games were not ready to divulge further info on the their next-gen project just yet, they are sure the reality of the big reveal will be far more exciting at E3 than outdated materials.

Metro on the old generation consoles were visually striking with a lot of detail focused on graphics, so it will be very interesting to see what Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light will look like on the Playstation 4.
