GTA 5 Online - How Character Transfer from PS3 to PS4 Could Work

Rockstar tells us the new Grand Theft Auto V will make full use of PlayStation 4's incredible processing capabilities, with major improvements  being implemented right across the board on GTA 5, including both graphical and technical upgrades that promises to deliver a higher polish and stunning new level of detail. The open-world environment will now feel much more alive thanks to increased draw distances, denser traffic, finer texture details, and enhanced resolutions that come together to bring a new burst of life to Rockstars re-invention of California.

For those unfamiliar with this new version of Grand Theft Auto V coming to PS4, gamers will be able to instantly switch between GTA 5's three main anti hero's Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of wild and sometimes hilarious capers across Los Santos.

With the recent announcement of Grand Theft Auto 5 Online content also coming to PS4. Many fans of the open-world game are hoping they can transfer most of their hard earned achievements and custom created characters from the PS3 version over to the PS4.

Though RockStar are yet to give specific details about this process, we suspect those wishing to make this leap will be able to port their GTA 5 online characters from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 in a similar way fans of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn were able to transfer their characters over from PS3 To PS4.

As you can see from the example above, Square Enix had in fact giving very specific details on how to do this so we see no reason why Rockstar won't be able to do something very similar as GTA 5 Online draws closer.
