Hello Games developer Sean Murray has taken some time out of his busy schedule to share some more details about the upcoming No Man's Sky. One of the most anticipated titles among PlayStation's community. According to Sean, No Man's Sky is an infinite procedural Universe inspired by his dreams as a child to explore far reaching planets beyond our solar system and galaxy.

No Man's Sky unique presentation of the Universe and beyond sounds incredibly amazing from its randomized weather system, strange alien wildlife forms and planetary eco-systems. Although the game does feature elements of combat, trading, ships and weapons, we think the ability to touch down on a planet never explored before and to observe and explore its inhabitants is what makes No Man's Sky so damn freaking awesome.

Every planet in No Man's Sky has its own individual number, a random seed that explains everything about the world. This single random seed is what is used to create every form of wildlife, from flowers, to creatures and beyond.

Sean also tells us that there are no load times in No Man's Sky as each planet is entirely computer generated. What is even more insanely unreal is the amount of planets to discover in the game. Working to a 64 bit system which is 2 to the power of 64 for all you math geeks out there. Hello Games have designed a system that can churn out over 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 possible planets.  And even if you happened to find one of these planets every second, it will take you Five-hundred and Eigty-five billion years to discover them all! Now how's that for some deep space exploration.

With so much planets to uncover, Hello Games have been working on including much more, alien life forms and wildlife of different shapes, colors and sizes within No Man's Sky infinite Universe.

Our thoughts . . .

Just hearing Sean describe No Man's Sky was enough for me to want to kindly tell him to shut up and take my money now. . . No Man's Sky is one of those reasons we strongly support indie developers. Hello Games are working on something truly ground breaking and cutting edge in No Man's Sky.
The level of detail and almost infinite planetary exploration is sure to satisfy even the most hardcore deep space explorers and trekkie fans the world over.

Stay tuned for more information on No Man's Sky in future posts and make sure you follow and subscribe to Hello Games Twitter, Facebook and Website.
