Destiny's Infrastructure Vastly Improved To Handle 4.6 Million Gamers During Beta
August 26th, 2014 By Mont BrownLast month Bungie invited the world to come take a look inside their epic Universe in Destiny Beta for over a week. During that time over 4.6 million gamers got involved in the socially connected FPS to give it a good once over. Talking at Gamescom Bungie unveiled to PlayStation just how significant Destiny's Beta experiment was and how it has ultimately made the game 10 times better, with just a few more weeks until launch.
Jonty Barmes creative director, Derek Carroll senior designer and Jess van Dijk lead concept artist all describe how big of a test the Destiny Beta was for the entire team as they invested into the companies online infrastructure to see just how far their servers could handle such a vast amount of players on their networks.

Destiny Beta was definitely an experience for the record books. The online social interactions, overwhelming amount of customizations, weapon, upgrades and planetary exploration is what we are most looking forward to in this epic FPS game out this September 9th 2014.
