This weekend PlayStation are giving you and your pals a chance to enjoy PS Plus for free, so we decided to compile a list of our best multiplayer games regardless of what console you play it on.
1.) Destiny
Bungie's latest online multiplayer space adventure has to be one of the most controversial releases of 2014. It has caused such a stir within the gaming community splitting opinions amongst reviewers and gamers down the line. Despite this it still is in my opinion one of the most enjoyable multiplayer games out there. Play as part of a three man fire team, Hunter, Warlock and Titan in this epic shoot-em-up that will have you grinding for exotic weapons until your thumbs and trigger finger's sore.
2.) Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare
Suit up in your very own exoskeleton. Run, slide and boost into the battlefield utilizing an array of tactical weapons. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is the perfect multiplayer action shooter to enjoy with friends this weekend. Just like your favorite Hollywood blockbuster, COD: Advanced Warfare puts you firmly in the hot seat as building crumble and rockets explode.
3.) GTA V Online
There is no better time to get online and join a couple of friends in Rockstar's GTAV, especially with the new Heists Mode which lets you and 3 other players plan and co-ordinate a Multi-Strike Heists on several locations across Los Santos and Blaine County. The Stakes are high but the rewards are worth the effort with some Heists paying from $1 Million dollars upwards.
4.) FIFA 15
If Shooting and car jacking isn't your thing then why not try your hands on some good old Football, or Soccer as the Yanks like call it. Though I personally prefer Pro Evolution to FIFA. I do think EA's easy pick up and play footie game is a great way to spend this weekend with mates. Goodluck trying to score past EA's new rock solid goalkeepers however as they are tough as nuts. Working with footballs greatest goalkeepers, EA has re-tweaked their AI's to react much quicker than ever before, making FIFA 15 a very challenging experience for casual and hardcore gamers.
5.) Battlefield Hardline
Play as a Cop or Criminal in Battlefield Hardline. This Crime based episodic shooter is based off popular TV crime dramas like CSI Miami and NCIS. Take to the streets of Miami as an officer of the law or go make looking for trouble in this action packed multiplayer adventure. Packed full of real gadgets used in the field to catch criminals, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to high powered weapons and vehicles in this open world action drama.
6.) Dragon Age: Inquisition
First of all this game is huge, getting through it in one weekend would be an impossible feat. There is so much to do and see that we'd advice planning ahead with friends to play. This is the first time in the Dragon Age series that a multiplayer function has been adding to the fantasy title and I have to say it's probably one of the best decisions Bioware has made moving the franchise forward. Feel free to explore multiplayer mode and fulfill various missions and objectives without affecting your main story this weekend.
So there you have it, our top 6 multiplayer games worth playing. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and tell us which titles you plan to enjoy this weekend.
