PS4 Cross Game Chat Confirmed on Playstation 4

PS4 Cross Game Chat will Be on PS4

We recently covered an article about the PS4 party chat feature coming to the Playstation 4.
Party Chat is a social media feature Sony are introducing to the PS4 console coming out later this year.
It will allow gamers to keep in touch with all their friends online, which Sony has increased to an incredible 2000 people in your personal friends list, twice the amount of the Xbox.

We can also confirm that the PS4 will also feature Cross Game Chat.  Cross game chat allows you to talk to your friends, via the online network regardless of what game you or them are playing. When Microsoft first introduced the social chat feature on the Xbox 360, they only allowed gamers to talk to people who were playing the same game, but with the success of the cross game chat feature they later added, gamers could now keep in touch with as many friends as they want. Sony decided to take this cross game chat feature even further by introducing instant switching. Now you can instantly switch betweens games stored on the Playstation 4's 500 Gigabyte hard drive to join friends on global tournaments like DriveClub, or even assist a buddy taking cover fire in Battlefield 4.

Cross game chat won't require a PS Plus membership, so you will still be connected to all your friends, minus the subscription fee.
