We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, but now that Santa has brought you a shiny new Playstation 4, we bet you would like to know what sort of next-gen games are worth your money and precious time. Well it turns out that there are some great titles on the Playstation 4 guaranteed to keep you busy from now until the new year, so read on to discover our top 5 best PS4 games so far.

1) Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Winner of Playstation's community Platinum award, AC4: Black Flag comes first as our top pick on PS4. In this brand new installment of the popular Assassin's franchise, you will take on the role of the charismatic Pirate turned Assassin Edward Kenway in search of Fame and Fortune. Your adventures will take you to multiple islands including playable areas in Kingston, Havana and Nassau via Kenway's ship Jackdaw.

2) Call Of Duty: Ghosts

If your into fast action paced shoot-em-ups, then look no further than COD: Ghosts.
Built on a brand new story featuring new environments and characters, Call of Duty: Ghost will take you on a first person action ride on the next-generation system. Face an enemy far more superior than your own as you attempt to save the world from total annihilation. Once you complete the main story mission, jump right into COD: Ghosts multiplayer and enjoy hours of gameplay modes built to keep you and your friends entertained for weeks and months ahead.

3) Resogun

Winner of Playstation's Community Bronze Award, Resogun is our third choice when it comes to PS4's hottest games. Developed by Housemarque Studios, Resogun is a throwback to all the cool  sci-fi space invader type shooters we used to love back in the 1980"s, but with a modern twist. You are humanities last hope against the foreign invaders and you must destroy the Aliens and save the human race from Alien abduction.

4) Need For Speed: Rivals

Need for Speed: Rivals by Ghost Games appeared as the alternative racer to DriveClub being delayed during PS4's launch. The game captures the intensity of street racing, putting you in control of either Cops or Racers in gorgeous open road environments.  The brand new AllDrive feature also blurs the line between single and multiplayer modes allowing real people to compete with you on the open world of NFS: Rivals.

5) Battlefield 4

Despite the recent fiasco with errors and bugs. BF4 is actually an incredibly fun game to play.
Experience huge environments in this latest installment of Battlefield 4 powered by Frostbite 3. In this new game, you now have the ability to destroy and manipulate your environment using Battlefield 4's new Levolution.  Gamers can also access tons of vehicles, and direct their squad members into battle with the new commander mode.
