Behind The Scenes Video With Ready At Dawn, Creators Of The Order: 1886

Good Morning PlayStation Community, we hope you all had a great memorial weekend. We start today with an exciting behind the scenes look at Ready At Dawn Studios, makers of The Order 1886 coming exclusively to PlayStation 4.  Last week, Ru Weerasuriya CEO and Creative Director, Ready At Dawn Studios showed a livestream exclusive gameplay of The Order 1886  via TwitchTV and today Ru has revealed how the studio is crafting this unique, vibrant universe for its epic PS4  cinematic adventure.

The Order 1886 is set in a time of incredible hardship in an alternative version of London's Victorian Era. From the outside looking in, life  may appear mundane for the citizens of London going about their daily business, all the while, a secret that could wipe out the entire human race lurks in the shadows, a terrible threat that the Knights of the Order have kept hidden away for  centuries.

The story begins in the days of King Arthur, and human beings are on the losing side of a war for dominion and power against the abomination of Half-Breeds. With humans on the verge of annihilation, King Arthur assembles a group of his most noble and elite warriors to stand as the last hope against these over-bearing creatures, thus forming the Knights of the Round Table.

These Knights, now known as The Order, wage a war through-out the centuries bringing the war to a temporary standstill thanks to the technological advancements of the Industrial revolution. An uncomfortable peace settles through-out the Kingdom and its Commonwealth, but this peace is interrupted by the threat of new enemies. The very people The Order have taking an oath to protect take up weapons, forming rebellious groups in the streets of London. This new uprising now threatens to destroy everything the order have built as both rebels and Knights battle one another to the death.

This latest gameplay video shows the heated battle as the Knights confront the insurgents in the run-down district of London's Whitechapel. Armed with a Thermite rifle, Galahad one of the stories main characters  is able to attack enemies hidden behind cover, while Isabeau’s Arc Gun proves to be an equally deadly weapon.

Pre-Order The Order 1886 Today

Beyond technological advancements, the Knights have relied on one element used for centuries known as: the Blackwater.  During combat the Knights are able to heal from deadly wounds. Having been using this for centuries the mysterious properties within Black Water has saturated the Knights with an inhuman longevity as well as physical and mental skills accessible in combat, a state they call Blacksight. Using Blacksight, Galahad enters into a heightened state enabling him to focus his abilities to execute precision strikes.

With E3 just around the corner, the creative team have unveiled this exclusive behind-the-scenes
video highlighting some of their inspirations behind The Order 1886. Ru tells us we can expect The Order 1886 to launch exclusively on PlayStation early 2015.
