The New Face Of Lara Croft On PS4

Lara Croft our favorite equivalent to a female Indiana Jones has just undergone some facial reconstructive surgery for the PS4 reboot, we came to discover today. Crystal Dynamics makers of the popular adventure starring Lara, decided to give her a facelift for the upcoming Playstation 4 port. You may have noticed in the new trailer that Lara now has bigger eyes, and a lightly different jaw line. Scot Amos Executive producer on the franchise, gave us insight on their official forum page as to what inspired the new facial improvements on Lara Croft.
Scot mentioned they had begun by updating Lara's skin with a few extra polygons, but once he realized just how much further they could go with the new PS4 hardware, they decided to give Lara's face even more attention by getting the original team who worked on her initial version to rebuild her face again.
In addition this new version of Lara Croft now boasts brand new hair physics and sub-surface scattering on Lara's skin, adding another layer of realism and dynamic to her appearance.
Finally Scot did say that these new improvements are just the beginning of what will be an evolution to future iterations of Tomb Raider on the Next-generation platform, which basically means Lara may not have seen the end of her reconstructions just yet.
