New Hitman 6 For Next-Gen Is Not Cancelled

Earlier today videogamer.com announced that Hitman 6 has been cancelled according to Richard Knight's LinkedIn Profile, senior game designer at Square Enix Montreal.
The news was understandably not taken very well with so many gamers expressing their disappointment on seeing one of Square Enix's longest running titles not making it to the next gen platforms.
We can now confirm according to Square Enix Europe official twitter page that Hitman is in fact not getting cancelled and there had been some sort of confusion today over who will be developing future Hitman Games. I am sure Hitman fans will be extremely pleased to discover this news, and can rest assured knowing that Hitman has not been cancelled.
