Ubisoft have announced that the awesome Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry DLC from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will now be available as a standalone game for those who are unfamiliar with the series. This new standalone game is a way of easing those who have never played the Assassin's Creed games into the super massive franchise. Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry starring Edward Kenway's quarter master and best friend Adewale will be available from February the 18th on PS4 and PS3. With a release date for February 25th on PC for only $14.99.

In Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry, you will get to experience the Creed through the eyes of Adewale a former African slave turned Assassin. After being shipwrecked in Haiti during the 18th century. Adewale finds himself consumed in the struggle of the Maroon people fighting for their freedom in the midst of some of the worst slavery in the history of the  West Indies. Your mission is to free the slaves and build their trust, sail across the islands in search of sunken treasure, invade plantations and rescue the Maroons as they prepare to launch a rebellious offensive against their tyrannical slave masters.
