Dragon Fin Soup Coming To PS4, PS3, PS Vita Achieve Kickstarter Target

Grimm Bros Co-founder Ash Monif has launched their brand new Kickstarter to help raise funds for their latest project Dragon Fin Soup coming to Playstation 4, PS3, and PS Vita. Ash tells us that him and long time friend and business partner Randis Albion industry veterans have been hard at work along with a team of indie developers on their debut title Dragon Fin Soup for over 12 months.



Dragon Fin Soup is part rogue-like, part classic console role playing game with a tenacious story, describes Ash. The game plays similar to Secret Mana and Chocobo's Dungeon and features 2 main gameplay modes. Story mode centers on the main campaign, character progression and plays like a classic role playing game, while survival mode plays a lot more Roguelike, featuring permanent death mode.

Inspired by classic fairy tales of old, Ash tells us Dragon Fin Soup is set on Asura a gigantic space turtle. The new alpha trailer revealed by Grimm Bros shows Red Robin a character inspired by Red Riding Hood, but probably not the way you may remember her from the story book.

Ash tells us that dragon Fin Soup is not a retelling of the story but a twist to what fans of the fairy tales already know. For example Red Robin, who although is quite sweet and very charming is also a raging alcoholic, making her living as a sword for hire bounty hunter.

Since Ash's announcement the project has managed to raise over $48,000 of their needed $24,000 kickstarted fund, so that is fantastic news for the micro team of developers. Feel free to follow them on Facebook to keep up with the entire team and updates on Dragon Fin Soup.
