Evolution Studios are determined to create one of the most immersive driving experience in any video game, including what players hear when they get behind the wheel of one of the 50 cars on offer in DriveClub. The most recent video trailer 4TheSense should be a great indication of the level of detail Evolution Studios are putting towards achieving this goal, but another area often over looked during this pivotal process is in the games audio.

In todays DRIVECLUB update we discover what Audio Manager Alan McDermott and his team have been getting up to outside Runcorn in the North of England to make DriveClub the most realistic sounding racing game ever made.

Alan and his team have been hard at work developing a huge library of sound effects for the upcoming PlayStation 4 racer and unlike other racing games in the same genre, every single one of these sounds is 100% bespoke.

Take a look at the entire Q&A with Fred Dutton from PlayStation as well as a sound cloud teaser of the racing sound effects below.
