Fans of Killzone Shadow Fall should be pleased to discover the launch of a brand new map titled, "The Canyon" free to download today. The Canyon is the latest multiplayer map for Killzone Shadow Fall and is located deep within planet Helghast. The Canyon is all that remains from the once glorious royal palatial quarters in the now war torn city of Pyrrhus.

Secured in place by struts and bridges, this hazardously balanced range of rock and crumbling infrastructure now serves a new purpose for the Helghast. Gigantic mechanical pumps pierce the cityscape, syphoning the Petrusite that oozes from within the  fissure to the nearby mining spires.

This map also features loads of tight spaces for intense close-quarter battle scenarios, as well as open areas that will require quick thinking and an even quicker snap of the DualShock 4 trigger button. Those who prefer a more sneakier approach will want to take advantage of the narrow routes on the Canyon's extreme edge of the map. Just don't get too close.

The Canyon is one of Killzone's most unique maps as it also features a new gameplay element to its multiplayer fusion. Gravity wells is consisting of anomalous spaces where the planet's gravitational field is extremely warped. These wells will enable players to 'fall' upwards quickly ascending to new heights and new areas.
