Bethesda has confirmed in a blog post today that The Elder Scrolls Online has been delayed on PS4 and Xbox One by about 6 months.

The post reads:

"We continue to work on the console versions of Elder Scrolls Online and game development has been steadily progressing, however we are still working to resolve a series of unique issues specific to the PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Integrating our systems with each platforms manufactures networks––which are both different from the Mac/PC system and each other has proven to be more challenging than initially anticipating. It has become clear that our planned June launch of the PS4 and Xbox One versions is not going to be possible. Although we have made incredible progress in resolving this problem, we have concluded that we will need about 6 months to make sure we deliver the experience our fans have come to expect and deserve."

The news update from Bethesda Studios wasn't all bad as they also announced that anyone playing the PC version of Elder Scrolls Online will be able to transfer their characters over to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version once the title is available at a reduced price of price of £12.99 / $20 for anyone who those who meet the eligibility requirements.
