Destiny is Bungie's latest offerings to the FPS genre and unless you have been living in cave these past few months it would have been very hard to miss the massive PR campaign and controversial media reviews that soon followed this last week. Moving beyond the opinion pieces and reviews -
I am here to assist you in getting up to speed with Destiny, especially those who have just bought the game and not sure where to begin.
What is Destiny?
Destiny is a massive game which has been in the making for over 4 years since Bungie released their last FPS Halo Reach under Microsoft. Since then the team who brought us the legendary Master Chief has been hard at work creating this epic shooter packed full of action, adventure and social interactions.
Destiny is an online first view shooter with loads of role playing game style elements thrown into the mix. The game follows the story of the Guardians, earth last and only defense against an alien threat.

When you first fire up Destiny, you may want to refer to the complete manual on race selection. From here you will find details on gender and of course class. Each Guardian is divided into 3 various races, Humans, Awoken, and Exo - Before you can do anything else you will need to choose which one you are going to be from here onward.

When you first start playing destiny you may initially realize the game may appear to be a little easy as you familiarize with the maps and the workings of your chosen Guardians, but don't let this fool you as things do quickly escalate once you get to level 20 where in my opinion the real fun really begins.
