Bungie: "No Victory Laps, No Vacations, Real Work Begins Now"
September 12th, 2014 By Maya MayfieldThis week saw the release of Destiny, Bungie's mega blockbuster to the record breaking sound of $500 million dollars worth of units sold worldwide -
But despite this phenomenal news the last thing the team are ready to do is celebrate. In a recent weekly update by DeeJ, Bungie's community Manager we discovered the team will not be taking anytime off in the next foreseeable future as there's still so much to be done.
For example gamers can now access Salvage, a combat mode in the Crucible designed for a 3 man fire team.
Salvage is an intense competitive mode, on one of Destiny's smaller and medium sized maps. The main objective beyond killing your enemies in Salvage is to protect one of the many relics that will randomly launch a few seconds before the match begins. Whichever team is able to get to the relic first must defend it for 45 seconds. If your fire team succeeds then you all get a huge increase in points.
Check out the upcoming events lined up this month of September and tell us what you think.
