Bloodborne Out Now - Learn More

Before we begin, the information we are about to reveal does contain very mild spoilers so continue at your own risk if you wish to know the truth behind the closed door.

A very close source to the Bloodborne project has revealed to Eurogamer that the mystery door did use to open during a pre-release development of the game and that there were no issues navigating from one area to the next.  We now think an executive decision must have been made prior to Bloodborne's official release to cut this segment out of the game for reasons none of us will ever know.

The Original story posted by Eurogamer revealed a player had found out what is on the other side of the permanently closed door located at the bottom of the Cathedral Ward in PS4's Exclusive Bloodborne.

For those who have found this mysterious door, you will notice that interacting with it will prompt the word, "closed' to appear on the screen. Most players assumed they needed to find a key that nobody had located yet, or that this door will expose a new DLC area. Other people thought it was even linked back to the Great Bridge, where you battle the Cleric Beast.

Well as it turns out the mysterious door does in fact lead to the Great Bridge as exposed by Youtuber illusory wall. They made the discovery by placing Shining Coins by the mystery door resulting in a glow that exposed whats on the other side.  Take a look at the fascinating walkthrough video below.

Leave your thoughts and comments and tell us what you think now you know the truth behind this rather useless door.
