Sony's UK managing director Fergal Gara has said, a Japanese release date for the PS4 could be on the cards  at Tokyo's Game Conference next month.
In a recent conversation with VideoGamer.com in regards to Sony's release plans for the Playstation 4.  Fergal Gara said final confirmation dates for Japan hadn't been released yet, but maybe that's one of the main points to cover at the Tokyo Game Show.
Gara also mentioned that a PS4 release date for Japan hadn't been mentioned at Gamescom 2013, because Gamescom was about Sony's launch plans for the European market.

Tokyo Game Show is from the 19th September to the 22nd of September.
The PS4 release date in North America is November 15 and in Europe on November 29.

Sony's PS4 Release dates first in North America and Europe, goes against their previous console launches in the past.
Previous PlayStation consoles have always released in Japan first, before making it to other parts of the world.

The original PlayStation 1 console launched in Japan in December 1994, nine months before it was released everywhere else. The Playstation 2 came out in Japan March 2000, and the rest of the world didn't get the console until seven months later.

The popularity of the Playstation brand, in the US and in Europe soon changed that trend, as the Playstation 3 launched in Japan on the 11th of Novemeber, 2006 and a week later in the US on the 17th of November, 2006 .

The PS4 has already sold out in the United Kingdom, and Sony having documented over a million Pre-orders in the US so far.
