If you haven't had a reason to pick up a PS Vita yet, maybe this might inspire you. Target has slashed prices of the PS Vita on both 3G and Wifi models this week.  The weekly Target ad was released yesterday with all the Playstation Vitas going for a $199 dollars, starting from the 18th-24th of August.

The PS Vita Wi-fi model currently retails for $250, while the 3G model is going for $300.
Sony or Target were unavailable for comments, but we suspect this new price drop may have something to do with the brand new Playstation 4 that's making its way out soon, especially now that we know the PS Vita can work as a remote control with the PS4, if developers programme their games to use it.

We also think, the price reduction may have something to do with the PS4 and PS Vita Christmas Bundle deal for $500 dollars Sony maybe announcing soon.
Or it could simply just mean, the PS Vita isn't doing so well, like Games Industry analyst Michael Pachter predicted on his show last week  Pach-Attack and the price drop is to help Sony claw back some losses on the unit.
You can read more about that story by clicking HERE.

The PS Vita also got a price cut in Japan in February, and though Sony did initially mention those price drops will not be extended to North America due to exchange rates, we can see that the decision has now be over-ruled.

Will you be taking advantage of these new prices and picking up a PS Vita this week? Let us know.
