An intro to make Quentin Tarantino proud.

From the opening soundtrack of this cool indie game designed by Teknopants, published by Maxistentialism. We are drawn right into what looks to be the start of an epic battle between two samurai warriors, once the bright orange sun finally settles in the background.
The Music produced by Doseone reminds us of classic kung-fu movies, where the lead characters say something like, "You killed my master!" before breaking-out into amazing combinations of lightning fast kicks and punches.

You can almost feel the tension between the two tiny pixel characters standing perfectly still on either side of the screen staring each other down, ready for showdown. Once the Sun eventual does settle beyond the horizon. Samurai Gunn does not disappoint, as the Samurai warriors spring into action, sword and gun in hand to a hip-hop beat that sounds like it was made by RZA from the Wu Tang Clan.
We absolutely love the concept behind this game. It feels very nostalgic, paying tribute to classics like Samurai Showdown on the Sega Megadrive.

Samurai Gunn is a super fast Bushido shoot and slash game for two to four players. Each samurai is equipped with a gun and a sword, with only three bullets to a life, so you have to use them wisely young student. (Says the old Kung-fu master stroking his long white beard before laughing out loud.)

You need to have lightning fast reflexes and a disciplined mind to deflect your opponents bullets, before countering with a quick attack of your own.
From what we have seen from the intro trailer, we are definitely looking forward to giving this game a full review on the Playstation 4, when it comes out in 2014.

Samurai Gunn will be available from this holiday season on PC, and on PS4 and PS Vita in 2014.
