Though-out the recent game expo events. People have been asking what sort of technical leaps in advancements can they expect to see from the brand new Assassin's Creed 4: Black flag on Playstation 4. So the question was posed to Sylvian Trottier AC4's associate producer to explain.

Sylvia first explained about the use of real Beaufort scale waves, a concept that creates the effects and feel of being on the actual ocean, achieved by the new sea engine used in Assassin's Creed 4. The developers also used complex shaders to give the ocean a translucent appearance.

Each raindrop is individually lit, and the puddles are meticulously rendered to mirror the environment around them. The fog reflects, and accepts lights from various sources. Dynamic Navmeshes, (which are three dimensional objects) give players the ability to leap from one ship to the next without encountering strange issues in the games visuals.

Using the incredible power of the PS4's next  generation processor, thousands of 3 dimensional wildlife plants can now realistic react to the weather environment, and to Edward Kenway our hero pirate captains direct interaction.
These are just a few of the massive technical improvements you can expect to see in the new Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on the PS4.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag will be available on launch day with the PS4 this coming  15 Nov 2013.
