DualShock 4 Controllers Can Easily Connect To PC Via USB - Rumour
By Maya Mayfield5th September 2013
PS4 controllers may be able to work on PC vey easily by plugging it in via the USB port.
A patch would normally have to be downloaded and installed on your system to make console controllers work on PC, but if the Playstation 4 DualShock 4 controller can connect without this patch, we think many PC owners and cross platform play enthusiast will be very happy with this news.
This story comes from an anonymous source on reddit who said, "the developers of Galak-Z told him at PAX that the DualShock 4 PS4 controller can connect to the PC." No other details were shared beyond that, but we did also hear from a few dev's at Gamescom claiming the PS4's touchpad could double up as a computer mouse as well.
All these things can be done, with a little tweaking here and there to make the DualShock4 controller more compatible with PC, but the question would be why would Sony want to do that?
It would certainly open up more revenue streams for Sony, as PC owners can of course use the DualShock 4 controller as their preferred choice of controller for PC games as well as Playstation 4.
Sony has not yet made an official confirmation of this, so we may just have to wait until 15 Nov for the PS4 release to plug the DUALSHOCK 4, CONTROLLER into one of our PCs here in the office and give you all feedback.
What do you guys think? Would using the DualShock 4 controller be a good idea on PCs?
