Thief Playstation 4 Version Gets New Improvements From Playstation 3

Stephane Roy producer of Thief a game coming to the PS4, has been explaining the differences between the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. In an interview with playstation Blog Roy explained that there are multiple components to these differences including audio, art and AI.

“We wanted to take advantage of the PS4 next-generation tech at our disposal , including getting the most out of the new DualShock 4 controller,” said Roy Stephane.

"We have programmed the light bar on the Dualshock 4  to simulate the Light Gem in the in-game UI, so when playing the game in the dark your Dualshock 4 controller will glow and indicate if the games protagonist, Garrett, is lurking somewhere in the shadows."

The touchpad on the controller will be used to navigate the menu, it also makes for a smarter, intuitive way to perform various actions within the game. Players will now be able to choose their weapons, and navigate through the maps, while aiming the bow at an enemy using the motion control sensors. Roy also mentioned how impressed him and his team were at the accuracy they got from the motion control sensors, during game testing.

Thief will also take full advantage of the new Dualshock 4  share button, allowing gamers to send videos of their most recent  and stealthiest enemy takedowns.

Roy also mentioned that although the game will at times swap to a third person view during particular segments or take downs, the majority of the Thief gameplay will be in first person.

Thief has a scheduled release date on Playstation 4 on 25th  February 2014
