The Witness on Playstation 4: Shows New Tiny Details in a Very Big World
By Maya Mayfield16th October 2013
Jonathan Blow Creator of The Witness has just updated us with some new intel on the open world Puzzle game coming to Playstation 4.
The Witness takes place on an island made out of puzzles. Players are free to explore the island which ever way they want and are not forced to follow a pre-scripted path. Jonathan informs us that his team have now moved past the initial location development, and puzzle tweaking phase to now focusing on adding details to the huge Island.
When Jonathan began creating The Witness he had initially meant to create an 8 hour game, but over time has come to realise during game testing that the witness has in fact grown to 25-40 hours, depending on users length of gameplay.
On the Technical side of things, Jonathan and his entire team are working hard on making The Witness run at a smooth glitch free solid frame rate. Having wrote and designed their own engine for The Witness has giving the team precise controls and handling to tweak The Witness into one of the best looking, playing puzzle games to come out on the PS4.
