Rumor: Playstation 4 Virtual Reality Headset To Be Revealed At CES 2014
December 21st, 2013, By Mont BrownRumor is that Sony are working on a Virtual Reality headset which would truly immerse gamers in a whole new world on the PS4. At current the only other VR unit designed for virtual gaming is the Oculus VR. The brand new virtual reality head mounted set for the playstation 4 would work similarly to the Oculus Rift, which was announced earlier this year at E3.
One of the games taking full advantage of this brand new Playstation 4 virtual reality headset is Driveclub from Evolution Studios. According to reports, Evolution Studios have been working on a super realistic cockpit view within Driveclub, using Sony's very own virtual reality headset for the PS4. This VR unit will completely bring a whole new evolution to gameplay unlike anything we have ever experienced before, bringing gamers as close to the real thing than ever previously imagined.
Sony are yet to confirm when they will make an official announcement of the new Playstation 4 VR unit, but rumor is we may hear something at the Tech Titans Keynotes in 2014's Consumer Electronics Show, which Kazuo Hirai one of Sony's CEO is said to be attending.
We cannot wait to hear more from Sony regarding the brand new virtual reality headset for the PS4, and if what we hear about the VR headset working on Driveclub is true, then 2014 is really going to be a big step for Playstation 4 gamers round the world.
We will keep you informed once we get further clarifications on this rumor in future reports. Until then share your thoughts with us and tell us what you think about this rumor in the comments below.
