How Much Would You Pay For PS Now Membership?
January 12th, 2014, By Maya MayfieldSony announced Playstation Now (PS Now) at CES 2014. The service will allow gamers access to Sony's catalogue of games on Playstation Platforms, televisions, smartphones and tablets. You will be able to gain access to games by either renting individual titles or by subscribing to the service which will give you access to a lot more games. With that out of the way, we wanted to ask how much you think Sony should charge for the Playstation Now service?
PS Plus members may be wandering why PS Now isn't added to their current package for free. We recently covered an article on the Difference Between Playstation Now and Playstation Plus.
If we were to take an educated guess at PS Now's price point we could say the service could range between $9 - $14 dollars a month based on how much consumers are currently spending on movie streaming services like Hulu, Netfilx and Amazon Prime. We think at this price range, most people will be comfortable paying for Playstation's back catalogues of games like GTA V, Last Of Us, and other PS3, PS2 titles. Sony could also do a yearly subscription deal around $45 - $65 dollars, which would be far more cost effective, considering that's what they are already charging with PS Plus $50 yearly subscription anyway.
We are waiting to get an exact price confirmation for the Playstation Now Service, but this is just a few numbers to consider if you are interested in subscribing to PS Now coming this summer 2014.
