Destiny Beta Launching In Summer 2014 Says Activision

Pre-Order Destiny To Get Access To Upcoming Beta This Summer

Activision are looking to make history with the biggest new IP release in video game history as Bungie prepare to launch Destiny Beta this summer. The announcement was made by Eric Hirshberg, Activion's Publishing CEO and President during an Activision Blizzard earnings call on Thursday. Eric had previously said Destiny has the potential to become the publishers 3rd billion dollar franchise, confidently reaffirming this statement again during his Thursday's earnings call.

"We think Destiny could be Activision Publishing's 3rd billion-dollar franchise, and we are working extremely hard to make it the biggest new IP launch in video gaming history,"  said Eric Hirshberg.

"We are working together to bring players an innovative game which combines the potency of great first-person-action with detailed character investment and social interrogations on a role playing game. We believe the game is on point to deliver record breaking pre-orders for a brand new franchise and a public beta is underway this summer with an expected launch date September 9th, 2014, said Hirshberg.

"We are look forward to expanding the Destiny Universe for years to come and we hope to show you more in the next few months ahead."
