Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn Playstation 4
February 12th, 2014, by Dean HowardFinal Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released on the playstation 4 April 14th and we have some great news for fans regarding the beta testing phase, as well as the Playstation 3 to Playstation 4 transfer process for accounts.
Playstation 3 to Playstation 4 transfer
The port service is scheduled to start Friday, 11th of April 2014. (It is worth noting that once transfer from PS3 to PS4 is complete you will be unable to play the Playstation 3 version using your existing copy.) Players who would like to play with both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 versions of the game are required to buy the PS4 version separately. Players who own several accounts on Playstation 3 can have all their accounts transferred to Playstation 4. Players transferring accounts will have early access beginning from 11th April to 13th. (It is also worth knowing that in order to transfer your account from Playstation 3 , you must have logged into it via your PS3 at least once.)Beta Info
- Phase 1 will begin February 22nd to March 3rd.
- Phase 2: will begin April 4th to April 7th.
- The schedules are Japanese Standard Time for all dates.
- The beta will be open and easily accessible to PS4 owners, via direct download on Playstation store.
- There is going to be a character wipe after phase one.
- Character creation made by players in beta phase 2 will be able to carry the data to the final retail version in April 14th.
- Playstation 3 and PC FFXIV gamers will be allowed to port their character data to the Playstation 4. (It is worth noting that this is only necessary for the beta phase as all players will be playing from the same servers on the retail version.)
