Imagine playing PS4 games with friends online while listening to the same music through your gaming experience. That's exactly what our sources inside Sony HQ are indicating regarding Sony's new mysterious PlayStation 4 music player.

To further back these rumors, Dualshockers also reported earlier today that an anonymous tipster had also discovered Adam Boyes VP of Publisher and Developer  Relations using the app with another user in a private session with both parties name displayed on screen.

We will have to wait and see if this new music player makes it to the new upcoming 1.70 firmware update. Sony's Big Boss Man Shuhei Yoshida SCE's worldwide president teased pictures from his updated PSN profile showing the new music player earlier today.

Our Thoughts . . .

Listening to music with fiends while playing games is a great idea and another way of bridging the online social experience through music. If this feature is indeed what our source say it is, we think it would be a great way to discover new music and share your favorite tunes with friends via PlayStation's network.
