Awesome He-Man Indie Game Needs Kickstarter Funding To Avoid ShutDown

If you like me are not new to games like the original 2D Mario and Sega's first Sonic The hedgehog, then you may just recollect an awesome TV cartoon show that used to come on every saturday morning called He-Man Masters of the Universe.

Even thinking about it, brings back some good old feelings of Nostalgia as I remember waking up in the weekend mornings to the smell of eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans and toasts complimentary of my amazing mum, while the classic He-Man theme song could be heard blasting from our box shape television in the front room.

So having such awesome memories you can almost imagine my joy discovering this He-Man demo today, via our friends at Kotaku UK. Even though it is just a demo, you can see the level of dedication that has gone into recreating this side scrolling 2d action beat-em-up does at least warrants a round of applause to the indie developers for effort alone, especially if you are or were a fan of He-Man at some point or time in your life.

Unfortunately it appears that this classic nostalgic recreation may not be around for very long as it does seem to break every copyright infringement law from its images and sound, as the original owners of He-Man, Mattel  have not giving their permission to use their Intellectual property.

 The game has been beautifully put together featuring 10 story stages, 28 versus mode and boss fights, all accessible via a complete map of Eternia. Its also got all the familiar faces from the cartoon including He-Man,  Man-At-Arms, the formidable BattleCat, Sorceress, Evil-Lyn, Skeletor She-Ra, Teela, Orko, Ram-Man, and finally guest star Lion-O.

I really hope for Nostalgic sake that some sort of amicable deal or Kickstarter fund project can be made between the developers and Mattel in order to see a fully functioning working He-Man game make its world debut on PlayStation's Platform in the not too distant future, as it would be such a shame if this was shutdown for copyright, when it clearly has a lot of sale potential, at least from old school fans like myself.
