Critically Acclaimed Animation Game Coming This Fall
June 27th, 2014 By Maya MayfieldAdapting critically acclaimed animated series into video games is no easy task for any development team, but PlatinumGames known for such classics like Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revearance are doing just that with The Legend of Korra, a third-person action game. The popular cartoon fuses arts of various philosophies and world cultures combined in a great story that follows in the path of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
PlatinumGames have spent years meticulously creating a combat system that perfectly blends fast action visuals with addictive gameplay. The Legend of Korra follows up from the events of the last two books, but just before the start of the upcoming third book.
If you are unfamiliar with the Avatar Universe, Korra is the recent incarnation of a very long line of peacekeepers, assigned to preserve and maintain the order between 4 nations, as well as bridge the human world with the spirit world.
When the game begins we are introduced to a powerless Korra, having lost her ability to bend and manipulate the elements after a weird encounter with a formidable shadowy power force. The Legend of Korra arrives on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 this Fall, and will also feature a few surprises from PlatinumGames.
