We Take A Look At The History Behind World War 1

Although the characters in Valiant Hearts are fictional, the game is in fact based on very real and tragic historical events from World War 1.

Working very closely with World War 1 historian groups, the Valiant Hearts development team was able to design a story deeply rooted in the historical era that tells the story of individuals whose lives where caught up in the chaos and destruction of The Great War.

In todays development  diary we learn more about the research done by the Valiant Hearts team in order to create historical facts and fiction in order to tell a compelling story of those whose lives were affected by love torn apart by the tragic horror of the War.

We also get a chance to meet Walt The Dog and discover more about “casualty dogs” or “mercy dogs” and the type of role they played in the trenches and out on the battlefields in the deepest darkest nights of World War I. Valiant Hearts will be out June 24th on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Stay tuned for our full review coming soon.
