Konami Shows How They Recreate Players In PES 2015 On PS4
November 6, 2014 By Dean HowardWhen it comes to real football video games, the true king of the genre has to be Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer. Unlike yearly FIFA releases, Konami decided to give themselves a year off, forfeiting millions in potential sales to tweak their latest footballing game ready for PS4 and Xbox One this year.
We really hope Konami's brave decision pays off as PES has always been viewed as the underdog of the sport when compared to EA's FIFA. I even remember earlier versions of PES not being able to display football players names correctly due to copyrights, but when it came to fast pace arcade style football action it was always on point. Things have obviously changed a lot since then and we are looking forward to seeing what new improvements PES 2015 has to offer.
In todays latest development video, Konami reveals just how they bring the world's best footballers to life using what they call "PES ID." This allows them to re-create striking resemblances of each football player, not just adding skins or names, but replicating tiniest details from hairstyles to how they run, shoot and play the beautiful game.
Using latest 3D scanning technology, Konami are able to now capture real life details of each player using a combination of 3D modeling and 3D Sculpting. Check out the video now and get ready for PES 2015 coming this November 13, 2014 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
