After recent confirmation by the FBI to hunt down the Lizard Squad a group responsible for shutting down both PSN and Xbox live during the Christmas holiday, it appears the British Police have made some progress in their efforts to track down the international cyber terrorist group.

In an update from theguardian.com, Twickenham police have raided the home of a man in relation to stolen funds from Paypal accounts.

The 22 year old man was arrested by the British police after investigations into Cyber-fraud offenses from 2013-2014. This man has since been connected to the Lizard Squad hacking group responsible for the DDos attacks on PlayStation's network and Xbox Live's gaming services this past Christmas.

A spokesperson from the Thames Valley police said, "The raid took place at the unnamed man's home in Twickenham by the  South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) before bail was posted. This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation from 2013-2014 after victims reported funds were stolen from their paypal accounts."

This announcement was later backed by independent cyber security researcher Brian Krebs who claimed the man arrested was none other than Lizard Squad member Vinnie Omari, after viewing evidence of Omari's bail notice.

Lizard Squad has since been basking in notoriety and cash selling the tool responsible for the DDos attacks for $6 dollars and $500 dollars per attack via the anonymous payment service cryptocurrency.
