The passionate team behind NBA 2K14 are looking to make history on their new basketball game coming to PS4. They have hundreds of people onboard, looking at every piece of detail, to catch any visual flaws along the development process. NBA 2K14 was presented this week running on the PS4 at a crowded San Francisco bar, to delightful cheers and positive responses from those who attended the debut trailer event. The game looks visually stunning, and a lot of fun to play.
As the video footage played on repeat over the bar's huge HD display. The NBA 2K14 team insisted porting the game to PS4 was not a simple task. The game was developed from the ground up for the next generation technology, using their brand new Ecomotion Engine to power the action.

The artistic assets you see before you in NBA 2K14, has been created from zero, with nothing re-used from current-gen versions of the game.
Making NBA 2k14 appear as close to the real thing took thousands of little details, all interwoven into thousands of more little things. said the team during their presentation.

The NBA 2k14 team have really gone the extra mile on this one, meticulously going over every detail you can see and not see. For example if you pause the game and Zoom into a phone on the media desk in the arena, you will see an oiled thumbprint on its screen display.

As great as the games visual maybe, the gameplay is even better stressed the team.
An incredible amount of manpower and resources has gone into the gameplay of NBA 2K14, with a lot of focus on the players physical attributes, and ball movements. From the demo you can see players moving, faking and shuffling their feet like their real world counterparts. Even the way the ball spins of the players fingers, shows a level of accuracy unlike before.


All of this gives you another sense of realism as you control basketball stars on the PS4. Flicking the right stick when players are running down court will cause them to dribble in a different direction, giving you another strategic play in how you move them around the opposing teams.
There is more Player to Player interactions in this new version also, adding another dimension to gameplay.

The Development team also included new emotion+ system to the game giving the players a more human element. Players are classified into different personality groups, with some shining bright under the spot light, while others fold under pressure.
This new feature enables teams to come together in the last minute for one final push to victory, even when the odds are not in their favour.
