Wolfenstein-The-New-Order-Hands-on-Playstation-4-Old-School-Re-ImaginedIts the 1960's but not in the way we remember it. The Nazi's have won the war, but the fight is far from over.
Wolfenstein: The New Order puts players against un-imaginable odds in this first person shooter, reimagined from the classic Wolfenstein series. In this exclusive hands-on of Wolfenstein: The New Order on the Playstation 4  we get to experience a brand new vision of the old school single-player shooter.

Our original hero B.J. Blazkowicz goes into battle in full  health, which can be replenished by eating food and gathering medical kits as you navigate through the levels. This classic health replenish system seems to work well with the games current style graphics. The new story plot combined with detailed character progression is a refreshing take on the original series.

Unlike other shooters that build experience points, players can unlock special bonuses by fulfilling certain tasks. For example become an expert with a particular weapon and you will gain bonus skills in the ability tree's Assault, Stealth, Demolition and Tactical segments.  And depending on how you choose to play the game will affect which sections of the Skill tree gets filled quicker than the rest.

The backstory to Wolfenstein: The New-Order aims to follow similar concepts to the original first person shooter, with a fresh fuse of unexpected twists, relationships that mean something, and tyrannical villains you can actually love to hate. The game will put you in very difficult spots at times as you must face some very tough choices along your mission.

This new re-telling  doesn't shy away from guns and in Wolfenstein: The New Order there will be tons of guns, riffles, machine guns, shotguns and turrets  at your disposal to blow away your enemies. BJ can now also double-weild most weapons in The New Order, which at the cost of accuracy is worth every penny, especially when it comes to taking down an entire group Nazi's with fully-automatic machine guns Rambo style.  Clicking L2 will enable you to now warm up turrets which are now unmountable as you unleash death on all who stand in your way.

Wolfenstein: The New Order  is a bold, fresh move in the right direction of a classic shooter making its debut on the next-generation of console. It is available to buy on May 20th on PS4 and PS3 and can be Pre-Ordered from today.
